THE GEMPRINT DIAMOND IDENTIFICATION SYSTEM
Every Sydney Rosen diamond comes with an exclusive Gemprint image
which positively identifies your stone. Using a helium-neon laser and
the
Gemprint computer system, this patented, non-invasive process captures
a diamond’s unique "fingerprint" when the light is refracted and reflected
through the pavilion and crown facets of the stone. Using a special video
imaging system, Gemprint positively identifies your diamond. Many
insurance companies discount their premiums if your diamond has
been Gemprinted. Many law enforcement agencies use the Gemprint
system to help recover and identify lost or stolen gems. Even the famous
Hope diamond has been Gemprinted. Recently, Gemprint helped solve a
murder mystery on the  popular
TV show "Law and Order".
